Eco Environments

Cornist Ganol Farm

Solar PV

“After various quotations, I chose Eco Environments as they had the edge on experience over the other solar companies I had spoken to. All aspects of the installation process from the first contact were professional and their price highly competitive. The installation staff were very professional and efficient installing my 19.62kW system in just 5 days. I would definitely recommend Eco Environments”. Edwin Hughes, owner Cornist Farm

Cornist Ganol Farm Before Solar PV Install

Mr Hughes approached Eco Environments after being recommended by a family member who previously had solar PV panels installed on his home. He was very keen to generate his own electricity, benefiting from the current generous feed in tariff. In fact estimated generation calculations showed that the system would pay for itself after around 7 years, representing an excellent return on investment.

Mr Hughes decided to install a large 19.62kWp solar PV system, made up of 90 Hyundai SF218 panels and a SMA Sunny Boy 17000 tripower inverter. Hyundai panels were chosen for their superior build quality, high performance levels and their resistance to ammonia, being in a farming environment as well as for their cost. Being such an established brand, Hyundai also offer financial stability, giving peace of mind with their 25 year performance warranties.

Renewable Energy For Farms & Agricultural

We have estimated that Mr Hughes 19.62kWp system will produce around 15,692 kWh of electricity per year which will earn them £5,162.67 per year in Feed-in Tariff payments. They will also save around £1,330.68 per year by generating their own electricity and earn around £97.29 per year by exporting any excess power generated. This will give them a total income/saving of £6,590.64 which is index linked giving a 22.69% return on investment* annually and a payback time for the system of around 7 years. Mr Hughes’ system will also save approximately 8,536.45kg of CO2 per year.
